JoinIN didn’t begin as a pitch deck. It began as a lived experience.

The original idea came from Mercedes Allen, a marketer, community builder, and natural connector / but the roots go back years before the app itself. Long before the pandemic changed how people socialize, she was creating spaces for people to meet offline. After college, she hosted “Finding Love in Dallas,” an event designed to bring strangers together in real life. What started as a simple gathering led to genuine connections, some romantic, many platonic, and proved how people need social time to be facilitated.

Over time, as Mercedes evolved professionally building brands, leading strategy, and understanding behavioral trends the concept matured. Through her involvement with Women in AI, she expanded her network beyond marketing into technical innovation, product strategy, and AI-driven development. That environment connected her with engineers, developers, and specialized advisors who saw infrastructure.as how she would build this startup different than before.

Today, JoinIN is backed by a growing team of technical and specialized representatives across product development, AI integration, user safety, and scalable infrastructure. What began as a community experiment has become a structured, technology-enabled platform built intentionally, blending behavioral insight, marketing intelligence, and thoughtful engineering.
