Why, What, How JoinIN?

JoinIN started as an idea while traveling through South America and exploring new cities in 2025. Even with tours with partner and group activities available, it was still difficult to connect with locals and discover places beyond the tourist experience.

That moment sparked a bigger question:
What if there was a platform built specifically to connect people around shared experiences — not scrolling, not aesthetics, but real-life activities?

Over time, the idea evolved into something larger.

Loneliness is not just personal, it’s global. People move away after college, relocate for work, travel solo, or enter new life seasons and find themselves wanting connection with others who share similar interests. Even when you have friends, you may not have someone who wants to do the same things at the same time.

The activities first platform was created to make it easier to meet people around activities like concerts, workouts, study sessions, dinners, networking events, travel plans, and more.

As technology and AI continue to shape how we live and work, meaningful offline connection matters more than ever.

Founder's Note

Hello, thank you so much for your interest in joining in. What started as an idea allowed me to come to the realizing that Connection should not be complicated.

We live in a world built on human connection, yet so many of us feel alone. Remote work has reshaped how we interact. Traveling for business or pleasure can feel isolating. Even in our own cities, it can be hard to find someone to share a moment with outside of the romantic sense whether that’s a concert, dinner, a study session, a workout, or simply working side-by-side at a coffee shop.

I saw the need firsthand.

While traveling for work, solo traveling, moving cities, I watched indirectly people in social media groups ask around for someone to join them for an event, a meal, or just company. There wasn’t a simple, trusted place to turn. Not a dating app. Not a social feed. Just a way to say, “I’m doing this -want to join in?” Though I have seen many book clubs, meetups happen with the power of groups from social media, I have also seen people deem it easier to ghost, and only posting for attention.

The need for genuine connection allowed for JoinIN to be built making belonging easier. It’s about creating real-world experiences, meeting beyond the screen. Global Research shows that 1 in 4 people report feeling lonely. At JoinIN we believe meaningful connection should be accessible, local, and safe.

Our goal is impact, by something simple as giving others a connection platform, we improve wellness, we save community.
